Mifflin St Block Party Outreach [UPDATE]

Mifflin Street Block Party outreach was a huge success with over 200 people encountered by teams with the simple message the God loves you!  There were about 120 people who gathered at The Furnace to participate in the outreach.  The Furnace doors opened wide at 10am where Mifflin St party goers could come in off the street to use a real bathroom, gets some cold water and encounter the Presence of God.  We had worshippers playing live music from 11am – 7p where teams played for about an hour each.  There were also dancers, flag bearers and intecessors seeking the face of the Lord in the prayer chamber all day long, pushing back the darkness in the atmosphere with the power of praise and prayer!  Every hour, Steve would make an announcement calling the next Treasure hunter teams to gather and prep to go out.  These teams prayed together and sought the Lord for clues about the people He wanted them to encounter with the Goodness of His Love.  Then they headed out into the streets where the were on a mission to find their specific treasures.  We have many testimonies which will be posted on www.advancek.com.

We also had encounter teams who welcomed people who came in to use the toilet and share goodness of God’s love.  As people were waiting to use the restroom, they were in the prayer chamber where they encountered the presence of God as the worshippers sang prophetic songs over them.  The encounter teams had opportunities to pray with them as they stood in line.  Needless to say, everyone who came through The Furnace were showered with God’s love!

Outside The Furnace we had setup the Dream Interpretation and Destiny Words tent where people could come and have prohpetic words of knowledge spoken over them as well as prophetic dream interpretations, just like Daniel had done!  So God would rock their world with His words and then they would get prayer and encouragement.  There were several people who were so dramatically touched by the Love of God, that they were compelled to accept the free gift of salvation!  Many others had seeds of God’s love planted and walked away knowing they were of great value.

Next to the Dream Intrepetation and Destiny Words tent we had prophetic face painting which is new this year.  Our artists painted images of God’s love and purpose as the Spirit led.  All the while they were able to look into their eyes and share God’s love for them.  If they were with someone who was waiting, that person also was engaged by encounter teams, sharing the beauty of Jesus.

The whole corner of Mifflin and Bedford was one huge encounter zone where God’s love was pouring out all day.

We also had a Papa John’s pizza trailer where party goers were able to buy fresh hot pizza or get a free slice. Any encounter that occurred, they treasures were given a card for a free slice of pizza, so when they claimed the pizza slice, the workers were able to confirm God’s love and reinforce the idea that they are a treasure to God.

Once the stage that was setup by Mifflin St organizers ended at 7p, we immediately started a drum circle right outside the Furnace doors and cleared the atmosphere with rhythms of worship.  A small crowd gathered around and DJ Caleb started dancing with his flags.  What an awesome site! We then moved the drum circle into The Furnace as the street cleaners started to operate.  Many party goers followed and that started an evening of techno dancing in the presence of God as DJ Caleb started mixing.  We went until around 11p and had many party goers were able to come in and dance in praise to the King.  Everyone one who came in off the street became super happy, because being in the presence of God brings great Joy.  What an amazing site.  Many many seeds of God’s love were planted and the Good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ was shared over and over again.

I found my heart transformed throughout the day as God placed His heart of compassion upon me and I didn’t see wasted parties, but I saw many people with whom God’s heart aches for love with.  Only our God is able to transform us into conduits of His love, regardless of the circumstances!!  I am looking forward to next year!  Hope to see you there!

Advance K Ministries invites you to participate with us in an upcoming outreach at the Mifflin Street Block Party, Saturday May 1st. This annual block party attracts approximately 20,000 college students and is noted as the largest block party in the world. We have been earnestly seeking the Lord for strategy and are excited to share with you what He has revealed for this year’s outreach.

The Furnace IHOP UW Madison is a prayer and worship center and evangelism outpost strategically located at 555 W. Mifflin Street in downtown Madison. Mifflin Street has the reputation on campus as being Madison’s party street. Purity and holiness in worship exalts the beauty of Christ Jesus above the rebellious spirit and draws hearts home.

A report from last year’s outreach includes several incredible God encounter testimonies. Healings and restoration happened in the streets and the prayer room. Over 120 people were mobilized into the streets treasure hunting and praying for people, with continual worship and prayer opening up the heavens and drawing hearts in the prayer room. We are also are excited to testify that Planned Parenthood has since closed down and is moving from Mifflin Street -taking back Mifflin for the King. God is on the move in downtown Madison, WI!

The Furnace is to once again host the wildest “house” party on the block. Love and passion for Jesus will be expressed through a variety of creative worship expressions from 11am-9pm.

•Worship teams will woship throughout the day stirring the heart of our King!
•DJ Caleb from XPMedia will be joining us from Phoenix to mix the sound of heaven from the rooftop of the Furnace. Prophetic Singers will join him in bringing heaven to earth.
•A Drum Circle will express the heartbeat of heaven with songs declaring God’s goodness.
•Prophetic art will express the beauty of our Creator
•Worship Dance will move with the flow of the Spirit agreeing with the activity of heaven
