About Us
A bondservant knight is a man who willingly surrenders his life to Jesus Christ in service. He is willing to give everything he has back to Jesus because Jesus gave everything for him. A bondservant knight also is a member of the King of King’s army. He is willing to stand up and fight for his family and friends. He carries himself with meekness and humility, knowing the great responsibility that comes along with serving the King.
A bondservant knight is a man who lives the motto “Lead by Example” and strives to follow the example shown by Jesus. Jesus came as a servant who washed the feet of his disciples, even though He is the Creator of all things, He showed us what it means to be humble and to serve. By that example, a bondservant knight chooses to put others first in his life. If he is married, he chooses to serve his wife like Christ served the church. If he has children, he chooses to serve his children in order that they might see the true face of the Father within their earthly father.
A bondservant knight chooses with his own free will to 1) die to himself in service to Jesus Christ 2) die to himself in service to his wife 3) die to himself in service to his children and 4) die to himself in service to others in his sphere of influence. Does this mean everything is lost because of the desire to serve others? No, rather all is gained because choosing to live your life like Jesus lived brings about the fullness of what this life has to offer. Serving others and acts of kindness cause people want to replicate the same back to you. As we learn more about the grace, mercy, kindness and love that Jesus has for us, we cannot help but want to return the affection by our complete devotion to Him.
How can I accomplish this? I know my selfish desires and a lifestyle of selflessness sounds great but seems impossible. . . .
The answer is by living a life led by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ gave us a Counselor and Helper when He returned to His Father and that Counselor was the Holy Spirit. In the old Testament, there were times when the Spirit of God came upon his prophets priests, but with Jesus’ death upon the cross and subsequent ressurection, He tore down the veil that blocked the way into the Holy of Holies, the place of God’s presence. So living today under the new convenant, we have access to the Holy Spirit every moment of the day.
By allowing ourselves to be filled by the Holy Spirit can we accomplish the impossible in our lives. It is through His power, strength and wisdom that we can become transformed. We cannot change ourselves through good thoughts or efforts, only through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Soaking in the presence of God and desiring to offer our lives as a living sacrifice makes room for the Holy Spirit to come in transforming power. All glory and honor belong to Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
